SARTORIA-BONAZZI Pianura Padana, Italy, early 1900s: a land defined by resilience and the hardworking spirit of its people. Amid this backdrop, Ettore Bonazzi, a young man from the Medieval village of Selva Malvezzi (Bologna), pursued his dream. He transformed his house basement into a small tailoring workshop.

Through the challenges of the First World War and the turbulence of the 1940s, Ettore's dedication never wavered.

NOVELLO-BONAZZIBy 1949, his son Novello expanded the family legacy, establishing “Sartoria Bonazzi” on the entire ground floor of their home. What started as a humble corner of craftsmanship became a thriving family business, with six family members working together to craft suits and, later, knitwear that resonated with the people of Bologna and Ferrara.

SARTORIA-ABITO“Sartoria Bonazzi” flourished for decades, gaining recognition as a trusted supplier for local shops and customers in the Bologna and Ferrara areas. But by 1997, the doors of the beloved tailoring workshop closed.

However the story didn't end there. In 2012, Simone Bonazzi, Novello's grandson, reignited the family's passion for craftsmanship and quality by founding 1980 Voguish.

With a fresh approach to fashion, but the same dedication and artistry, Simone continues the Bonazzi legacy, bringing Italian heritage to the modern era.

Through his upbeat sartorial language, which speaks to discerning fashion lovers as well as stylish youngsters, Simone gets to indulge in two of his biggest passions: music and fashion from the early 80s, which he likes to reinterpret in his innovative, and rather personal, way.

1980 Voguish stands for optimism, effortless elegance and intricate design. Statement outerwear lies at the essence of the brand, recalling the heady days at Studio 54 and the start of House music, when bold outerwear looks were deemed cool enough to land on the dancefloors of New York, Chicago, Paris and London.
